On March 2, 2023, Special Representative of the Chinese Government on Eurasian Affairs Li Hui attended and made a speech on Summit-level Meeting of the NAM Contact Group in response to COVID-19 in Baku.

In his speech, Special Representative Li Hui spoke highly of Azerbaijan's positive contribution to the development of the Non-Aligned Movement during its chairmanship and pointed out that, this summit focuses on post-pandemic global recovery and provides a good platform for the international community to unite and seek cooperation and development, which is of great practical significance. China has put forward concrete initiatives to the international community to strengthen solidarity, revive the economy, improve global governance, and step up South-South cooperation, and stressed that China firmly  supports NAM to play a greater role in international affairs and will always stand together with fellow developing countries to safeguard world equity and justice. China is ready to deepen traditional friendship and expand mutually beneficial cooperation with NAM, and work together to build a community of shared future for mankind.
