Notice on the Adjustment of Requirements for Chinese Visa Application

As of February 1, 2023, the Chinese Embassy in Azerbaijan will adopt the following new requirements for Chinese visa application. Applicants are requested to read the following notice carefully, submit documents for applicable visa types and make an appointment as required.

1. Application Process

(1) Fill the visa application form online (https://cova.cs.mfa.gov.cn) , print the confirmation page and application form, sign on the confirmation page and item 9 of the application form.

(2) Applicants shall come to the visa office of the Embassy during working hours to submit all required documents and provide fingerprints.

(3)Go to the designated bank to pay the visa fee.

(4) Pick up visa according to scheduled time.

2.Required Documents

(1) basic documents

1) The original and copy of passport (with validity for more than 6 months, at least 4 blank visa pages).

2) The original and copy of ID card.

3)AVAS confirmation page and application form.

4)2 recent, color, bareheaded ID photos (white background, 3cm×4cm).

Issued to those who intend to go to China for commercial and trade activities or  non-commercial visit and activities.

(1)TE Invitation Letter, PU Invitation Letter, Verification Letter of Invitation (copy), other official invitation letters;

(2)In case of no above-mentioned invitation letters, the following documents are required:

①Proof of personal assets (no less than 20,000 US dollars) or real estate ownership proof (in case of the real estate belonging to parents or spouse of the applicant, a proof of relative or marriage relationship is required);

②Employment certificate;

③Tax payment records for the past 6 months;

④Invitation letter issued by company, individual or other entities in China (with a copy of the ID card of the relevant person);

⑤Business and trade documents with the inviting entities (unnecessary).

Z

Issued to those who intend to work in China.

Notice for the Work Permit for Foreigners or Work Permit Card for Foreigners.

S1/S2

Issued to those who intend to go to China to visit the foreigners with Z or X1 visa in China(including spouses, parents, sons or daughters under the age of 18 or parents-in-law).

(1)Certification (marriage certificate, birth certificate, etc) showing  the relationship of immediate family members between applicants and inviting  individual;

(2)The inviting individual's passport, residence permit in China or X1/Z visa;

(3)Invitation letter from the inviting individual. 

Q1/Q2

Issued to those who are family members of Chinese citizens or of foreigners with Chinese permanent residence (including spouses, parents, sons, daughters, spouses of sons or daughters, brothers, sisters, grandparents, grandsons, granddaughters and parents-in-law.).

(1)ID card of the Chinese inviting individual, passport or the permanent residence permit of foreign inviting individual;

(2)Certification (marriage certificate, birth certificate, etc) showing  the relationship of immediate family members between applicants and inviting  individual;

(3)Invitation letter from the inviting individual.

R

Issued to high-level talents

Confirmation Letter for High Level Foreign Talents.

C

Issued to crew member

Guarantee Letter from foreign transport company or invitation letter from the inviting entity in China.

X1

Issued to those who intend to study in China (for a period of more than 180 days).

(1)Original and photocopy of the admission letter issued by school in China;

(2)"Visa Application for Study in China" (Form JW201 or Form JW202);

(3)Proof of personal assets (no less than 2,500 US dollars for a year) or proof of scholarship.

X2

Issued to those who intend to study in China (for a period no more than 180 days).

(1)Original and photocopy of the admission letter issued by entity in China;

(2)Proof of personal assets (no less than 1,500 US dollars for a year) or proof of scholarship.

3.Visa Exemption

(1)Foreigners who subject to mutual visa exemption agreements;

(2)Foreigners with valid permanent residence permits in China;

(3)Foreigners with all kinds of valid residence permits;

(4)Foreigners with valid APEC Business Travel Cards (Virtual ABTC excepted);

(5)Foreigners under the 24-hour Transit Visa Exemption Program (Please contact the immigration inspection agencies of entry point for further information).
