On October 19, 2022, at the invitation of Rector of Azerbaijan University of Languages(AUL), Kamal Abdullayev, Ambassador Guo Min visited AUL and attended the handover ceremony for the donation of teaching equipment by the Embassy of China in Azerbaijan.

Ambassador Guo Min said that, since the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Azerbaijan 30 years ago, the political mutual trust between two countries has been consolidated, the traditional friendship has been deepened, and cultural exchanges have become increasingly close. As one of the earliest foreign cultural centers established by AUL, the Chinese Language and Culture Center has trained hundreds of Chinese oriented professionals over the years, and has become an important channel and platform for the Azerbaijani people to learn Chinese language and understand Chinese history and culture. In order to further deepen bilateral cooperation, the Embassy of China in Azerbaijan donated a number of office equipment to the Center to help it better carry out Chinese language teaching and promote Chinese culture. It is expected that, the center will continue to play a positive role in promoting China-Azerbaijan friendship and promoting people to people friendship in the future.

Rector Abdullayev expressed sincere gratitude to the Embassy of China in Azerbaijan for its long-term strong support for the development of the Center and said that, Azerbaijan and China share a long history of traditional friendship, Azerbaijani people are very friendly to China and are eager to learn more about Chinese culture. AUL attaches great importance to Chinese language teaching and research on China. It has successively opened a major in China Studies, set up a Chinese Language and Culture Center, and co-founded a Confucius Institute with China to cultivate a large number of outstanding talents for friendly exchanges between the two countries. It is believed that, with the continuous development of bilateral relations, the Chinese Language and Culture Center will certainly become an authoritative platform for the spread of Chinese language and Chinese culture in Azerbaijan and a solid bridge for the people of the two countries, making greater contributions to the cause of generations of friendship between Azerbaijan and China.

After the meeting, Ambassador Guo Min and Rector Abdullayev jointly signed the handover certificate of equipment donated by the Embassy of China in Azerbaijan to the Chinese Language and Culture Center of the AUL.
