Ambassador Guo Min attends completion ceremony of an Embassy-supported secondary-school playground

On September 17, 2021, Ambassador Guo Min attended completion ceremony of the playground of No. 218 secondary school in Baku after reconstruction supported by the Chinese Embassy. The event was attended by member of the Milli Majlis, the head of the International relations department of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Soltan Mammadov,  head of Khazar District Elshan Gurbanov, officials from Baku education bureau and the school director. 

Ambassador Guo Min noted that children are the future of naions and the inheritors of friendship between China and Azerbaijan. Over the years, the Embassy and the Heydar Aliyev Foundation have together implemented a number of projects to reconstruct school facilities and upgrade equipments in educational institutions in Azerbaijan, which benefits an increasing number of students.The Embassy is ready to continue to maintain close cooperation with the Foundation and contribute to the development of  the Azerbaijani society and people’s livelihood. 

On the day of the event, Ambassador Guo Min also visited No. 119 secondary school in Baku and got acquainted with a computer classroom built with the assistance of the Confucius Institute at Azerbaijan University of Languages. The event was widely covered by the local media.

On September 1, Counselor of the Embassy Mr. Li Jingsong attended the completion ceremony of  the Embassy-supported playground of the No.5 secondary school named after Nizami Ganjavi in the city of Sabirabad.
